Sheremetyevo-2
Sheremetyevo-2 airport is rightly considered to be the main air gate of Moscow. The majority of foreign flights arrive in this particular airport. Apart from regular flights the airport is also engaged in charter and cargo flights abroad. The airport is situated 29 km to the North-West of Moscow. One can get to the airport along high speed M10 (Leningrdskoye highway), also by express bus service from Central Air Terminal (35 minutes), from "Rechnoy Vokzal" metro station (30 minutes) or from "Planernaya" metro station (40 minutes).
One can use cheaper municipal transport (#851 bus from "Rechnoy Vokzal" and #817 bus from "Planernaya"), although one should take into account that commuting time increases two fold.
Bus fares can be paid in the bus. Municipal transport working hours is from 5:45 till 0:30. Sheremetyevo airport complex also includes the following hotel: Novotel, Aeroflot Tranzit, Sheremetyevo-2.

Nearby Sheremetyevo-2 airport passenger terminal of Sheremetyevo-1 airport is situated. It was built in 1964. The airport is used for internal flights and flights to the countries of the former Soviet Union. One can get to Sheremetyevo-1 utilizing the same transport as to Sheremetyevo-2, although one should take into account the fact that all buses initially stop at international terminal and only after that they stop at Sheremetyevo-2 terminal, that is why commuting time takes 10-15 minutes more.

Domodedovo
Built in 1965 at present Domodedovo airport is considered to be the largest airport of Moscow and whole Russia and is the leader in volume of passenger and cargo transportation. It became possible due to full-scale reconstruction of the airport, which was completed in 2003. At present Domodedovo airport is the most comfortable Moscow airport used for the majority of domestic and international flights. Domodedovo airport is connected to Moscow by a railway. Not so long ago the passengers were provided with a unique service – registration at the Paveletsky railway terminal situated practically in the center of Moscow and transfer to the airport. Thus, it became possible to get to St. Petersburg in record time – less than 3 hours.
The airport is situated 52 km to the South-West of Moscow. It takes 1 hour 30 minutes to get to the airport from the Central Air Terminal by express bus service, 30 minutes from Domodedovskaya metro station, 40 minutes by local train. One can pay for the transfer to a bus conductor. Public transport working hours are from 5:45 till 0:30. Tickets for local trains, which depart hourly, can be purchased at cashier desk in railway terminal. One can get to the airport by car or by taxi along Kashira or Domodedovo highway. Aerotel hotel is also part of Domodedovo air terminal.

Vnukovo

Vnukovo
Vnukovo airport is one of the oldest Moscow airports situated close to a railway station of the Kiev railway. Situated 19 kilometers away from Moscow, Vnukovo airport is used mainly for flights to Russian and former Soviet Union cities, although seasonal charter flights to European countries are also part of the schedule.

Close to Vnukovo airport air terminal Vnukovo-2 is situated. Vnukovo-2 is used for Russian President flights and for official delegations flights. There is a comfortable hotel for transit passengers and guests of the capital situated not far from it in the woods area. One can get to the airport from Central Air Terminal by express bus service within one hour, from Southwest metro station (30 minutes) or by car or taxi along Kiev or Borovsk highway. One can pay bus fares to the conductor in the bus. Municipal transport working hours are from 5:45 till 0:30.

Bykovo
The first stage of the Bykovo airport was put into operation in 1933, and air terminal was constructed in 1975. At present Bykovo is used for a fairly small amount of short distance trips in European Russia cities by small regional companies and its runway is not suitable for big airliners. At present Bykovo is an international airport, although there are no international flights so far. The airport is situated 35 km away from Moscow. Ryazan highway leads to it from Moscow. Commuting time from Central air terminal to Bykovo is 1 hour 30 minutes. Buses ## 424 and 430 will take one to the airport from Vikhino metro station, and bus 441 from Kuzminki.
